YEREVAN, AUGUST 6, ARMENPRESS. The international community will not toughen sanctions on Iran yielding to the pressure from the US Congress. Armenpress reports that US President Barack Obama announced the latter on August 5.

“Our closest allies in Europe or in Asia, much less China or Russia, certainly are not going to enforce existing sanctions for another five, 10, 15 years according to the dictates of the U.S. Congress. With this deal, Iran will face more inspections than any other country in the world. So, this will be a long-term deal that addresses each path to a potential Iranian nuclear bomb.”, said Obama when giving a speech at American University in Washington.
