The Armenian Genocide Centennial events served their goal: Vigen Sargsyan

According to the organizing committee of the State Commission on Coordination of the events for the commemoration of the 100thanniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the April 24thevents served their main goal. This is whatChief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Armenia, coordinator of the events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide Vigen Sargsyansaid during a press conference.

“The first objective was to raise the international community’s awareness about the Armenian Genocide and to present the Armenian Genocide in a more general context within the framework of the international struggle against the crime of genocide and to mobilize public opinion. I think the global forum became an important step in the global fight against the crime of genocide. That’s not just our evaluation. All the participants, including members of specialized organizations recorded that the voice of the international community was heard more loudly during those days, and the crime of genocide which, unfortunately, continues, became the focus of foreign presses and the international community,”Vigen Sargsyan mentioned, as “Armenpress” reports.
