Repatriation and rebirth of Karabakh settlements get flesh and blood: Deputy PM

YEREVAN, JANUARY 30, ARMENPRESS: 240 million drams, collected by the national lottery of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, will be directed to the rebirth of the Ishkhanadzor community and the implementation of the repatriation idea. The Deputy Prime Minister of Artsakh Arthur Aghabekyan told Armenpress about it, adding that by December 28 the construction works of 37 houses in the community will have been finished. According to the Prime Minister, the preliminary works are drawing to the end and from mid February the construction of the houses will be launched.
Arthur Aghabekyan stated that Ishkhanadzor community has all the necessary resources to accept population and provide for their well-being. “At present there are 240 people in Ishkhanadzor. There is a village council and a school in the community. The village is provided with drinking water and has vast territories for housing building. Our key aim is to raise the number of the population of the community up to 1000”, - said the Deputy Prime Minister, adding that the repatriation of Ishkhanadzor is closely connected with the repatriation program of the other coast of Araks River.
Arthur Aghabekyan noted that they have put an ambitious and responsible objective before them and they are certain that the result will be positive. “The implementation of the repatriation program of the Araks River coast will open new working places. The Government intends to prepare 10,000 hectares of land for farming”, - said Aghabekyan, adding that in 2013 400 hectares of land was exploited and in 2014 1000 hectares will be allocated to the farmers.
