The fourth congress of the BSANNA takes place in Tbilisi

TBILISI, MARCH 4, ARMENPRESS: The fourth congress of the Black Sea Association of National News Agencies took place today in Tbilisi with the participation of the 12 heads of agencies out of 14 member-agencies, including the director of the “Armenpress” news agency Hrayr Zoryan. The participants discussed the results of the activity after the previous congress and organizational issues of the next congress.

In his speech director of “Armenpress” H. Zoryan drew the attention of the participants on the circumstance that the Azerbaijani “AzerTaj” news agency, violating the provisions of the charter of the organization sometimes places anti-Armenian news in the joint web site of the association, raising necessity to apply to relevant steps. He called on the directors of the news agencies to stay devoted to the spirit of the Association, and restrain from activities contradicting the charter, at the same time calling on the responsible of the site to block the flow of such Azerbaijani news.

During the session the general director of the Bulgarian “BTA” news agency Maxim Minchev passed the presidency of the BSANNA to the director of the Georgian “GHN” news agency Gocha Mirtskhulava. The next congress of the Association will take place in Baku 2011.
