Azerbaijani ‘deplorable’ actions in stark contrast with what Europe achieved after WW2 – Armenian Ambassador at CoE

YEREVAN, AUGUST 11, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe has condemned Azerbaijan’s gross violations of the Council of Europe statute and values and called on Baku to renounce the use of force and coercion.

“Azerbaijani actions stand in stark contrast with what Europe achieved after WW2,” Arman Khachatryan, Permanent Representative of Armenia to the Council of Europe posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Deplorable that the Council of Europe member state grossly violates CoE statute & its values. Azerbaijan should - renounce use of force and coercion – re[s]pect human rights of NK [Nagorno-Karabakh] people - lift the blockade.”

Khachatryan also shared a post and a video by the Armenian Embassy in France, which presents the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh resulting from the Azeri blockade of Lachin Corridor, and that Azerbaijan has been blocking vital humanitarian aid from Armenia for already 16 days.
