Deputy commander of the military unit for rear detained in the sidelines of the criminal case over barracks fire

In connection with the incident of the fire in the barracks of the military unit located in Azat village of Gegharkunik Province, commander of rear service, deputy commander of the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense, has been arrested, Gor Abrahamyan, the press spokesman of the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia confirmed the informaiton in a conversation with ARMENPRESS.
"He is arrested, charges are brought and a petition was submitted to the court regarding detention as a precautionary measure against him," said Abrahamyan.
On January 19, at around 01:30, 15 conscripts died as a result of a fire in the accommodation intended for the personnel of the N military unit, located in Azat village, Gegharkunik Province of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
