YEREVAN, DECEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS. The obligation stipulated under clause 6 of the 9 November 2020 trilateral statement on the control of the Lachin Corridor isn’t been implemented also by the Russian peacekeeping contingent, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said at the Cabinet meeting.

“De-facto it turns out that the obligation stipulated under the trilateral statement, that is – to control the Lachin Corridor, isn’t carried out also by the Russian peacekeeping contingent. Of course, this is happening as a result of the unlawful actions of Azerbaijan, but the situation doesn’t change from this because that’s what the key meaning of the Russian peacekeeping contingent is – to not allow for such unlawfulness to happen and particularly to keep the Lachin Corridor under control,” Pashinyan said.
