YEREVAN, DECEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan, who is in France on a working visit, gave a press conference in Paris on December 7, which was attended by about two dozen leading French media.

As ARMENPRESS was informed from the Office of the President of Artsakh, the President of the country presented the goals of his visit to France, noted the regular and frequent manifestations of aggressive behavior by Azerbaijan towards the people of Artsakh, the creation of humanitarian problems in a regular manner, listed the challenges that pose a serious threat to the existence of the people of Artsakh in their own homeland. According to President Harutyunyan, through France, he wants to send a message to all European states to take measures to prevent the above-mentioned brazen behavior of Azerbaijan, which is undoubtedly supported by Turkey.

"We understand that Europe has oil and gas interests with Azerbaijan, but our appeal is to respect the right of self-determination and existence of our people and to prevent the implementation of the genocidal and expansionist policy of Azerbaijan with the existing tools. In this sense, it is also appropriate to mention the attacks and occupations of the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia during the last two years, not only against Artsakh, but also against the Republic of Armenia," Arayik Harutyunyan said.

During the meeting, the President answered various questions of journalists, as well as gave a separate interview to the state news agency "France Press" and was hosted by the "France-24" TV channel.
