Government created 143,000 new jobs since May 2018 – PM Pashinyan

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS. The government of Armenia has created 143,000 new jobs in the last 4 years and 4 months, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during the parliamentary standing committees’ debate of the 2023 state budget draft.

“I already had a chance to announce that we have a record in the number of registered jobs in Armenia based on the results of October. There are 691,000 registered and paid jobs in Armenia”, he said, adding that based on this figure the number of jobs in October 2022 has increased by 143,000 compared to May 2018, and it has increased by 108,000 compared to September 2018.

According to the PM, the creation of opportunities, the fight against the shadow, the policy of reforming income tax had a great impact on this figure.
