YEREVAN, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS. On October 24, Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan took part in the solemn opening ceremony of the multi-functional sports complex built with the funds of philanthropist Vladimir Avagyan in Chartar town of Martunu region.

As ARMENPRESS was informed from the office of the President of Artsakh, the head of the country expressed gratitude to Vladimir Avagyan for the charitable projects of about ten million US dollars implemented in Artsakh over the past years with his own funds within the framework of the programs of the "Armenian Villages Development Fund". He emphasized that this initiative will be an important factor in ensuring a healthy lifestyle and a full daily life of the young generation.

Together with the guests, the President of Artsakh got acquainted with the modern conditions of the sports center, followed the spectacular exercises of the youth.

The event was also attended by Artur Tovmasyan, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, Anahit Hakobyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, National Assembly deputies, regional administration officials, guests from the Russian Federation, including the representative delegation of the Union of Armenians of Russia.
