PM Pashinyan meets with Greek Foreign Minister in Yerevan, aftermath of Azeri aggression 
discussed

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting with the Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias in Yerevan.

PM Pashinyan welcomed FM Dendias’ visit to Yerevan and noted the importance of the dynamic development of the Armenian-Greek relations. The Armenian PM said that this visit will give new momentum to bilateral partnership.

At the same time, PM Pashinyan underscored the importance of the trilateral Armenia-Greece-Cyprus foreign ministerial meeting in New York City, in terms of jointly withstanding challenges, ensuring stability and peace in the region and enhancing relations in various directions. The Armenian PM expressed hope that high-level mutual visits will be intensified.

FM Dendias said that Greece highly appreciates the continuous development of relations with Armenia. He said that the trilateral meeting in New York City was productive and that discussions in this format will be continuous.

FM Dendias said that the Greek and Armenian peoples are connected with friendship that goes back centuries and that they are committed to raise the bilateral partnership to a new level.

PM Pashinyan and FM Dendias exchanged views on the ongoing processes in the South Caucasus. PM Pashinyan presented the aftermath of Azerbaijan’s aggression against Armenia’s sovereign territory. PM Pashinyan underscored the importance of an adequate reaction by the international community in terms of withdrawing the Azerbaijani military units from sovereign territory of Armenia and not allowing a new aggression.

The Prime Minister also addressed Armenia’s positions on the unblocking of transport infrastructures in the region and the delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

FM Dendias added that Greece will make all effort to contribute to overcoming the challenges facing democratic and brotherly Armenia.
