Prime Minister Pashinyan receives group of Armenian Apostolic Church bishops

Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received a group of bishops of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The Prime Minister published a video of the meeting on his Telegram page.

Earlier, a group of high-ranking clergy of the Armenian Apostolic Church issued a statement expressing their protest that Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II had not taken action and was attempting to shield Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan, the Chancellor of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, regarding issues about which videos had been circulated.

Speaking to reporters after the government session, the Prime Minister said that, as a follower of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, he accepted the announcement with filial humility and zeal, and as the head of state, he welcomed it with determination and steadfastness.
