President commemorates 1988 earthquake victims in Gyumri

YEREVAN, DECEBER 7, ARMENPRESS. President Armen Sarkissian visited Gyumri today to pay tribute to the memory of the 1988 earthquake victims.

In Gyumri, Sarkissian attended a church mass in remembrance of the victims. Mayor of Gyumri Samvel Balasanyan, Governor of Shirak Tigran Petrosyan and Minister of Emergency Situations Felix Tsolakyan were also present.

Sarkissian laid a wreath at a memorial honoring the victims and observed a moment of silence.
