Opposition councillor challenges Yerevan Mayor to live televised debate

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS. Head of the “Luys” faction of the Yerevan City Council Davit Khajakyan has invited Mayor Hayk Marutyan to a live televised debate, according to a statement issued by Khajakyan’s political party, the Bright Armenia.

Khajakyan said he will substantiate his allegations of the Mayor’s abuse of power during the debates, and that Marutyan will have the chance to respond in detail.

The opposition city councilor said he expects a response by tomorrow 18:00.
