Putin invites heads of CSTO member states to attend 2020 Victory Day Parade in Moscow

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS. Russian President Vladimir Putin has endorsed the idea of inviting military from all member-states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) to take part in the Victory Day Parade on May 9, 2020, reports TASS.

“We expect leaders of the organization’s member-states to attend festive events in Moscow on May 9, 2020 and we are thankful for supporting the idea that military contingents from all CSTO countries should take part in the Victory Day Parade on Red Square”, Putin told a plenary meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council.

Putin emphasized that the CSTO countries should share stance that it’s vital to provide unbiased information on the crucial role of the Soviet Union’s nations in defeating Nazi Germany.

The session of the CSTO Collective Security Council kicked off today in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, chaired by Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov.

The session is attended by Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
