Armenian President congratulates Xi Jinping on PRC 70th anniversary

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory letter to President of China Xi Jinping on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Armenian President’s Office told Armenpress.

“The Armenian-Chinese historical ties date back to the times of the Big Silk Road when close trade and cultural ties have been formed between our peoples. Armenia attaches great importance to the consistent development of friendly relations and political dialogue with China and the mutually beneficial cooperation in economy, education, science and culture.

I reaffirm Armenia’s readiness to actively take part in the One Belt, One Road initiative’s programs proposed by you. I am convinced that the Armenian-Chinese partnership, which is based on mutual respect and trust, will continue developing through joint efforts for the benefit of our peoples”, the Armenian President said in his congratulatory letter.
