Aronian to face Matlakov at world cup

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Armenian chess grandmaster Levon Aronian’s next opponent in the 3-rd round at the Khanty-Mansiysk FIDE World Cup is Russia’s Maxim Matlakov.

Aronian is the only remaining Armenian chess player at the event from the initial 4.

The competition is a knockouttournament with 128 players participating.
