Armenian finance ministry’s delegation takes part in Moscow Financial Forum

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. The delegation of Armenia’s finance ministry led by first deputy minister Karen Brutyan is taking part in the Moscow Financial Forum on September 12-13 during which the efficiency of fiscal rules and their development opportunities in the EAEU member states are being discussed, the finance ministry told Armenpress.

In recent years the stability of fiscal policy is under the spotlight of the EAEU member states. And the fiscal rules are one of the main tools to solve this issue. During the forum the efficiency of contemporary systems of fiscal rules, the cooperation development directions of member states in terms of running a joint macroeconomic policy are being discussed.

Head of the Macroeconomic Department at the Armenian finance ministry Eduard Hakobyan introduced the modernization process of fiscal rules in Armenia and the experience of reforms in this path, stating that the fiscal rules are not simply restrictions, but flexible guidelines for effective fiscal policy.

The Moscow Financial Forum is a unique platform for professional discussion of Russia's financial and economic policy.The Forum is organized by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the Government of Moscow.

The Moscow Financial Forum was first held in the capital on September 23, 2016; since then, it has become a tradition for financial experts to hold annual meetings in September in order to discuss topical issues.
