Moody’s experts consider Armenian government’s strategic goals adequate, accurate and relevant

YEREVAN, AUGUST 29, ARMENPRESS. The experts of Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") consider the strategic goals of the Armenian government adequate, accurate and relevant, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan said during today’s Cabinet meeting, adding that he personally met with these experts to discuss Armenia’s strategic goals.

“I would like to talk about this event from practical terms, connected with the private sector. This will lead to the reduction of interest rates in the market. Firstly, those Armenian private companies, which have Moody’s rating, their rating will rise with 90% probability, which means that the interest rates of funds received from foreign markets will decrease. This will lead to the point that the interest rates in the Armenian market will decline to a certain extent”, he said.

Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") has upgraded on August 27 the Government of Armenia's local and foreign currency long-term issuer and foreign currency senior unsecured debt ratings to Ba3 from B1.
