Armenia to introduce stolen asset recovery bill for public debates

YEREVAN, AUGUST 26, ARMENPRESS. The bill on “Confiscation of Assets of Illegal Origin” is almost ready, Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan told lawmakers at the parliamentary committee on European integration affairs on August 26th.

“We’ve received the first international conclusions and we revised the bill. The bill will probably be introduced for public discussions at the end of this week or in the beginning of next week and it will be sent for a final international assessment. Cooperation with international institutions exists in personnel training and organizing lectures. This too is an integral part of the anti-corruption strategy and an important step in combating corruption,” Badasyan said.
