Vice Speaker of Parliament receives Kazakh Ambassador to Armenia

YEREVAN, MARCH 12, ARMENPRESS. Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Armenia Alen Simonyan on March 12 received Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia Timur Urazayev, the Armenian Parliament told Armenpress.

At the meeting the officials touched upon issues relating to the promotion of the bilateral cooperation agenda.

Alen Simonyan highlighted further developing the relations and deepening the inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries. In this context the Vice Speaker informed that the Armenia-Kazakhstan friendship group will be formed soon which will play an active role for expanding the mutual ties.

The sides also discussed the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. Alen Simonyan considered unacceptable the calls made by the neighbor state and the militaristic rhetoric which undermine the peace process, stating that there is no alternative to the peaceful settlement of the conflict.

In his turn the Kazakh Ambassador also attached importance to the peaceful settlement of conflicts.

He also talked about the mutual partnership prospects with Armenia within the EAEU and CSTO, as well as presented his country’s priorities in the two integration directions.
