104-year-old survivor of Armenian Genocide, Milwaukee photographer Artin Haig dies

YEREVAN, MARCH 6, ARMENPRESS. 104-year-old Milwaukee-based Armenian photographer Artin Haig, a survivor of the Armenian Genocide, has died, Journal Sentinel reported.

Highlights of Haig’s career include photographing US President Franklin Roosevelt, as well as Babe Ruth playing at Yankee Stadium.

He died in a retirement home in Milwaukee.

He is survived by four daughters, Caroline Case, Dolores Mishelow, Raquel Gutherie and Artyn Gardner, nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, according to Journal Sentinel.
