President Sarkissian visits Davit Sedrakyan, hands over high state award to renowned physicist

YEREVAN, MARCH 6, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian signed a decree according to which renowned physicist, academician of the National Academy of Sciences, Honorary Head of the Department of General Physics and Astrophysics after V. Hambardzumyan, Davit Sedrakyan has been awarded with the 1st degree Medal of Services to the Motherland for the contribution in the science sector, the Presidential Office told Armenpress.
President Sarkissian visited the renowned physicist and handed over the high state award.
Armen Sarkissian had a warm and friendly talk with his lecturer, remembered the university years and the Professor’s interesting lectures, as well as the Astrophysics journal created by him.
The President said academician Sedrakyan has educated and provided knowledge, professional skills to a number of generations. He wished the Professor good health and all the best.
