Indicted brother of Serzh Sargsyan “allowed” to travel abroad

YEREVAN, MARCH 6, ARMENPRESS. The National Security Service of Armenia has allowed Alexander Sargsyan, the indicted brother of former President Serzh Sargsyan, to travel abroad for a certain period of time.

“The investigative body has permitted Alexander Sargsyan to leave Armenia for a certain period of time,” National Security Service director for communications Samson Galstyan told ARMENPRESS.

He did not specify the purpose or destination of Sargsyan’s travel.

Alexander Sargsyan, a former MP, is charged with embezzlement.

His two sons are also indicted. One of them is under arrest in the Czech Republic pending an extradition process.
