YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 26, ARMENPRESS. New Ambassador of Portugal to Armenia Paulo Vizeu Pinheiro (residence in Moscow, Russia) on February 26 presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian, the Presidential Office told Armenpress.
The President congratulated the Ambassador on assuming office and expressed confidence that Paulo Vizeu Pinheiro will invest his experience and knowledge for the benefit of the development of friendly relations between the two countries.
President Sarkissian highlighted the Armenian-Portuguese close historical connections and expressed confidence that the cooperation of the two states has a wonderful future.
In his turn the Ambassador conveyed the warm greetings and wishes of the leader of his country to the Armenian President. He assured that he will do everything possible to deepen the bilateral ties at all mutually beneficial directions and develop an active cooperation between the two friendly countries and peoples.
