Pop star Sirusho becomes first Armenian to receive DIAFA award

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 10, ARMENPRESS. Pop star Sirusho has become the first Armenian performer to be awarded the DIAFA (Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards) award in Dubai.

Held annually, DIAFA honors distinguished personalities for their achievements in various fields such as arts, culture, music, business and humanitarian services.

“Was honored to be the first performer from Armenia and receive an award. Thank You”, Sirusho said on Facebook after the show.

Lebanese-Armenian TV personality, producer and host Neshan Der Haroutiounianpresented the award to Sirusho.

On stage, Sirusho asked the audience if they don’t mind her to teach them an Armenian song.
