Russia plans to make investments in Meghri free economic zone

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. Russia has planned to make investments in several fields of Armenia’s economy, reports Armenpress.

RussianTrade Representative to Armenia Andrei Babko said in 2016 Russia’s investment in Armenia comprised more than 2 billion USD.

“In the future Russia also planned to make an investment in the Meghri free economic zone. Of course, this issue cannot quickly be solved since the Iranian market is quite unusual, and without observing it investments cannot be made. It’s also necessary to understand what products are needed to Iran”, he told reporters.

According to Andrei Babko, the upgrading process of Armenian Nuclear Power Plant has already launched where Russia also has its investment.
