Russian writer blacklisted by Azerbaijan amid calls for recognizing independence of Artsakh

YEREVAN, JUNE 10, ARMENPRESS. Russian writer Eduard Limonov, who has published numerous articles about the Repuplic of Artsakh, has been blacklisted by Azerbaijan’s foreign ministry, Lenta reported.

After visiting Artsakh, Limonov wrote articles in the ‘Opinions’ section of Russian media outlets about his impressions.

In an article forСвободная Пресса (Free Press) he urged to recognize the Republic of Artsakh.

“They only have a population of 160 thousand, however of high quality. Mountainous Armenians have the most combat morale. Let’s make them our partner and friend. We don’t have anyone else other than them there, do we”, he said.

In another blog article, the Russian writer said “I was in the independent Republic of Nagorno Karabakh”.
