Georgian military to substitute Kalashnikov machine guns with M240

YEREVAN, MAY 30, ARMENPRESS. Georgian armed forces will substitute their standard issue Kalashnikov machine guns with the M240, a gas operated medium machine gun that chambers the7.62×51mm NATOcartridge, currently in use by the US military and other countries.

According to the Georgian defense ministry, the M240 will be displayed on May 30 in a joint training center of NATO, where the Georgian defense minister and the US envoy will be present.
