19 criminal proceedings launched on parliamentary election violation reports

YEREVAN, MAY 3, ARMENPRESS. 19 criminal proceedings were launched on all reports regarding electoral violations during the April 2 parliamentary election. The task force of the Prosecutor General’s Office scrutinized all reports.

Out of the total 19 cases, 12 were launched on multiple voting attempts with 11 people being charged.

3 criminal proceedings were initiated regarding violation of voting secrecy. One person has been charged.

Another three cases were launched on obstruction of reporters. For some of the above-mentioned cases investigation is still underway, while for some cases the materials have been sent to the courts.
