‘Whoever is elected by my people, I accept that choice’ - Charles Aznavour on Armenia’s election

YEREVAN, APRIL 3, ARMENPRESS. World famous French-Armenian singerCharles Aznavoursupports the choice of Armenian people in the country’s parliamentary election, reports Armenpress.

“I never talk about politics. Although I have many politician friends, but I talk to them about cinema, theater, music, art. We have many topics for not talking about politics. However, whoever is elected by my people, I accept that choice. I don’t want to speak about political issues, but if the person was elected by my people, he is my President”, Aznavour said in a meeting with reporters in Moscow.

He also said he doesn’t like people who go to other countries and criticize the policy of their home country. “For me everything is perfect”, he said.

Parliamentary election was held in Armenia on April 2. Based on the voting results, 4 political forces enter the Parliament: the Republican Party is leading with 49.12%, then come Tsarukyan and Yelk blocs with 27.32% and 7.77% respectively, and the ARF with 6.57%.
