Djemal Pasha’s grandson sentenced to 1 year 3 months imprisonment in Turkey

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 14, ARMENPRESS. Djemal Pasha’s grandson Hasan Djemal, a Turkish reporter who has recognized the Armenian Genocide, has been sentenced to 1 year and 3 month imprisonment for writing an article about Fehman Husseyn, one of the leaders of the PKK, Hurriyet reports.
The Court found him guilty for “propaganda for a terrorist group”. Djemal denied the charges, saying his action is not a crime.
The Court decided to suspend the sentence.
