Digitized mines – Investors can download information on Armenia’s mines

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS. The archival information on mineral deposits are digitized in Armenia, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Hayk Harutyunyan told “Armenpress”.

He said such digitization volume on information about the materials existing in the mineral deposits is being carried out in Armenia for the first time.

“So far, the studies of only the recent years have been digitized, but we have quite a large archive reaching to 100.000 which needs to be digitized. The first aim of digitizing is the maintenance of that archive, as well as increasing the access to it”, the Deputy Minister said.

He said everyone can download and get acquainted with information on each mines through the respective information website.

“This is a beneficial step both for investors and financial structures. Having information on the subsoil, they can make their projects. Moreover, this is also an important step for environmentalists. They also can have clear picture on the materials existing in the mineral deposits”, the Deputy Minister said.
