PM Karapetyan's appointment as RPA Vice President hasn’t been discussed

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 15, ARMENPRESS. Armenian MP, RPA Vice President Razmik Zohrabyan commented on the reports in the media which says Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan is going to replace Zohrabyan in the Vice President's post during the upcoming RPA meeting, reports “Armenpress”.
MP Zohrabyan told reporters in the Parliament that this issue has not been discussed in the RPA executive body’s sessions.
To the question whether he sees the necessity of change in the party’s leadership, the MP said: “I cannot answer to this question since there has not been such discussion. When such discussion will be held, I will express my opinion”.
Referring to the rumors on PM Karapetyan’s joining the RPA, Zohrabyan said this issue will be discussed if Karen Karapetyan submits an application for party membership, however, there is no such application yet.
Zohrabyan said it is not news that the head of Armenia’s new government can cooperate with the RPA. The MP recalled that Karen Karapetyan headed the party’s list for Yerevan City Council elections and served as Yerevan Mayor for a certain time.
