Levon Aronyan to take part in “Tata Steel” Tournament

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 31, ARMENPRESS. Armenian chess GM Levon Aronyan will take part in the “Tata Steel” Chess Tournament.

The tournament will be held January 13-29, 2017 in Netherlands.

Aronyan will compete with world champion Magnus Carlsen, world champion contender Sergei Karyakin, Wesley So, Ian Nepomniachtchi, Anish Giri, Pentala Harikrishna, Radoslav Voytashek, Rochard Rapport, Wei Yi, Adhiban Bashkara and Luke Van Veli.

The Tata Steel Chess Tournament is one of the most prestigious events in the international chess calendar. The "Wimbledon of Chess" attracts the very best chess grandmasters in the world, along with thousands of amateur players, live event visitors and online visitors from around the world.

The tournament has two main player groups, each with 14 players. They are known as the Tata Steel Masters and the Tata Steel Challengers.
