Explosion kills 5 in Turkey’s Van

YEREVAN, AUGUST 18, ARMENPRESS. Five people have been confirmed killed, and 40 others injured, after a car bomb exploded outside a police station in the eastern Turkish city of Van on Wednesday, according to Democrat Haber, CNN reported.
Earlier Turkish media Anadolu reported three confirmed deaths.
Speaking after the attack, Van's deputy governor Mehmet Parlak said 38 of those injured were civilians while two were police officers.
Anadolu said Kurdish militants were suspected of carrying out the attack.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
