Erdoğan calls Putin “dear friend”

YEREVAN, AUGUST 9, ARMENPRESS. Turkish President Recep TayyipErdoğan announced during a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg that Turkey and Russia are ready to normalize their relations, “Armenpress” reports, citing gazeta.ru, Erdoğan mentioned that the normalization of the relations took place thank to the political will and the support of the civil societies of both countries. Erdoğan stated that the normalization of relations between Turkey and Russia can serve as an example for other countries.

“Vladimir Putin is my dear friend. Both he and me demonstrated identical position on the normalization of relations of the two countries”, the Turkish President stated.

He added that Russia and Turkey must use the efforts of the normalization of their relations for “ensuring stability in the region”.
