YEREVAN, JUNE 28, ARMENPRESS. The Department of Emergency Situations of the Georgian Ministry of Interior says the Upper Lars checkpoint will be closed for a week.
The checkpoint has been closed because of a rock-fall. In addition, there is a danger of flooding as the water level of Terek river rises.
Vehicles at the checkpoint may continue travelling by ferries – via the ports of Poti and Batumi.
