Brexit poses questions for entire planet – says Hollande

YEREVAN, JUNE 25, ARMENPRESS. British vote to leave the European Union will not have an impact on the UN member states, but for the entire planet there is a question what will happen, French President François Hollande said after the meeting with the UN Secretary-General, reports “RIA Novosti”.

He said the Brexit, of course, will not have an impact on the UK’s place in the UN. He also stated that he is deeply sorry for the Brexit vote, however, he respects this decision in democratic conditions, and he once again called to draw conclusions from this situation.

He said regardless of the Brexit, France will continue to cooperate with the Great Britain on economic, military fields and the refugee issue.

On June 23 a referendum was held on the UK’s EU membership. More than 16.7 million people voted in favor of the Brexit.
