YEREVAN, JUNE 20, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s economic activity indicator grew by 5.5 percent in January-May of 2016 as compared to the same period of last year.
According to the National Statistics Service, a decrease has been registered in construction and trade turnover sectors.
Consumer price index decreased by 1.6 percent, whereas the industrial product prices decreased by 3.1 percent.
Construction volumes also decreased by 7.9 percent, compared to previous year.
Electricity production decreased by 1.9 percent.
Trade turnover decreased by 0.1 percent from January-May, and totaled 774 billion 331.5 million AMD.
Industrial production volume grew by 8.8 percent and totaled 533 billion 473.6 million AMD.
Exports grew by 20.1 percent (656.9 million USD), imports by 0.9 percent.
