Deputy FM responds to Agramunt – “review the UN Charter”

YEREVAN, MAY 20, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Shavarsh Kocharyan announces territorial integrity cannot oppose the self-determination right of peoples.

ARMENPRESS asked Kocharyan to comment on PACE President Agramunt’s statement regarding solving conflicts based on territorial integrity.

“Mr. Kocharyan, how would you comment on the statement of PACE President Pedro Agramunt that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as all the conflicts should be resolved based on the principle of territorial integrity? “

“It would be preferable if an international official of that level was acquainted with the fundamental document of the international law – the UN Charter, according to which the territorial integrity cannot be opposed to the right of people to self-determination,” Kocharyan said.
