YEREVAN, MAY 4, ARMENPRESS. Russian Foreign Ministry representative Maria Zakharova said on May 4 the Turkish leadership dream of restoring the Ottoman Empire, however they forget about its fate.
“It seems the Turkish leadership wants to restore the power of the Ottoman Empire which it once had. Anyhow, all features of Turkey’s policy create this kind of image. We all know what fate the Ottoman Empire suffered”, Zakharova said.
“In any possible sphere, be it Syria, Crimea, migrants, terrorism and others, we see the absolutely destructive role of the Turkish leadership”, she added.
She added there is no need to hope for changes in Ankara’s’ positions, because the Turkish leadership “aggravate the situation”.
