Erdoğan rushes to support "younger brother"

YEREVAN, APRIL 2, ARMENPRESS. Turkish President Recep TayyipErdoğan, who is in Washington, rushed to support the “younger brother and extended condolences by phone to the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for the big human and equipment losses as the result of the military actions, launched by the Azerbaijani side in the contact line of frontier troops between Azerbaijan and NKR.

“Armenpress” reports that “Anadolu” news agency informs about the aforesaid, noting that Erdoğan extended condolences to Aliyev on behalf of himself, Turkish people and Allah, as well as wished a soon recovery to the wounded.

Erdoğan’s counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu also extended condolences to Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov for the big number of human losses.

Azerbaijani side informed about the loss of 12 servicemen, 1 tank and non-existence of wounded.

Overall, 200 Azerbaijani soldiers have been eliminated during the military actions of April 1, the night of April 2 and today. “Armenpress” was informed about the aforementionedfrom the press service of NKR Defense Army.

At least 30 soldiers of the Azerbaijani special detachment were destroyed in the direction of Talish, in Martakert direction -2 tanks and 2 drones, while in the northern direction - 1 helicopter. Bigger collisions occur along the southeastern direction of the contact line. The enemy, using armored vehicles and artillery, including MM -21 ("Grad") multiple rocket launcher; made as target not only the positions of Defense Army , but also the peaceful settlements, located deep in the rear. During the mentioned period, at around 12:30, 1 hostile military helicopter and 2 tanks were destroyed.
