YEREVAN, MARCH 12, ARMENPRESS. The Turkey-EU discussions on Syrian refugees became the topic of Brazilian caricature artist Carlos Latuf’s works. As "Armenpress" reports, citing Turkish Demokrathaber.net, Latuf’s caricatures are about the Turkey-EU trade regarding the fate of Syrian refugees
The cartoon shows Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan closing the border for the refugees who are burning in Syria, and is demanding money from the EU.
Renowned Brazilian caricature artist Latuf had earlier referred in his paintings to Turkey and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In a March 8 caricature, a battered woman was shown in front of the “Zaman” news agency, after protesting the censorship of the newspaper, and Erdogan approaching her and giving her a flower. The caricature is entitled – “My message on the occasion of Women’s Day, March 8”.
In another caricature Erdogan himself is beating a woman, whose head is covered with the Turkish flag.
The caricature is entitled – “Erdogan declared – “Freedom of speech is dead in Turkey”.
