Special operations against Kurds conducted in Istanbul

YEREVAN, MARCH 7, ARMENPRESS. Istanbul police conducts special operations against Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which fights for the rights of Kurds in Turkey.

As reports "Armenpress" citing "Anadolu" news agency, as a result of the operations numerous arrests took place, the number and identities of which were not disclosed.

In recent months, the clashes between Kurds of southeast Turkey and Turkish armed forces and the police have become more frequent. In 2015, more than 200 soldiers have been killed during military action against the PKK in Turkey, and already more than 100 since the beginning of 2016.
