PM Abrahamyan hails the program of setting new robotics clubs

YEREVAN, MARCH 3, ARMENPRESS. 62 million and 481 thousand AMD from the Armenian government's reserve fund is allocated for the remuneration of group leaders of robotics clubs and engineering laboratories within the framework of the project implemented by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE).

“Armenpress” reports Minister of Economy Artsvik Minasyan mentioned that the UITEtakes steps to set such clubs in other parts of Armenia, including bordering communities, which will foster the development of robotics and engineering in those regions. It is expected that 32 more clubs will start to operate from May, 2016 and 48 clubs from September.

“This is a very good project that will give pupils an opportunity to acquire new knowledge”, Prime Minister Abrahamyan said.

Donor companies are expected to invest about 330 million AMD in 2016 for obtaining necessary equipment, training of the group leaders, monitoring and some other necessary activities.
