YEREVAN, JANUARY 11, ARMENPRESS. The current changes in the international developments have led to a situation where, factually, World War III is in progress, but the model is a little different.

As “Armenpress” reports, political scientist Hayk Martirosyan emphasizes that there will no longer be any direct clashes between fronts. Third countries’ wars involving several countries have come to replace the latter. The tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran also gives rise to concerns. The political scientist calls it adventurism, adding that by cutting off relations with Iran, Saudi Arabia intended not to let further rapprochement between the USA and Iran, preventing Iran’s becoming long-term ally of the USA.

“In reality, this policy hurts Saudi Arabia’s interests. However, I do not think that there is any signal that this course will change. In my opinion, this tension will have new nuances and developments,” Martirosyan said, adding that it is difficult to make predictions concerning the nature of the developments in the region.

In this regard, contradictions between Iran and Turkey which further escalate due to the developments in Syria are also dangerous for the region.

The escalated relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran reached their peak when the crowd attacked the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Tehran. The diplomatic ties were cut off between the two countries and they started manifesting their strength and armament with a greater force in Yemen.
