2016 will be year of large-scale projects for IT sector

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS. Year 2015 was a wonderful year for the sector of Information Technologies. The sector recorded 20% growth. The fact that 60 new companies have been established is noteworthy. Director ofEnterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF)Bagrat Yengibaryantold the journalists about this after the reception organized at the President’s residence. “This year is noteworthy in the sense that Armenia was indicated on the world map. You know, a number of Armenian products and solutions were considered the best in the world. As the president of the country said today, the private sector plays a very important role in the development of the whole economy,” “Armenpress” reports, Yengibaryan said.

In his words, it is no secret that the IT sector is the driver of the economy and will remain Armenia’s competitive advantage in the future as well. “2016 will be year of large-scale projects for IT sector. Those projects will be implemented based on private-public cooperation principle. As the President of the Republic mentioned, the state will have a serious participation in these projects, because we can record more and more success in IT sector by steady and long-term steps”, Yengibaryan concluded.
