One person seriously hurt in Istanbul airport blast

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS. The explosion at Istanbul airport Sabiha Gökçen at 02:05 a.m, December 23, left two people injured. It is not excluded that the explosion could have been a terrorist act. “Armenpress” reports the aforementioned referring to Turkish media. Reportedly, one of those injured is seriously hurt. Police forces work on the scene, a police helicopter also arrived. Another helicopter was sent to Atatürk Airport.

The specialists are checking the area for any traces of explosive devices. The authorities have not yet confirmed that it was a terrorist act. GovernorofIstanbul noted that the circumstances connected with the explosion are not clear yet, that two cleaners were injured, they have been hospitalized and preliminary investigation is under way.
