Armenians are European: EU Ambassador wishes to see more EU flags in Armenia

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS. Head of the EU Delegationto Armenia,AmbassadorPiotr Switalski thinks that it EU projects implemented in Armenia should be more intensively illustrated. According to his assessment, the projects worth 15 million-euro that have been implemented in Armenia during the current year within the framework of EU-Armenia cooperation is a serious investment. ‘’Georgia which is larger than Armenia and is part of Association agreement, receives 100 million Euros. And what is the money allocated by us spent on: they are spent on the implementation of projects in Armenia. Our investments are rather diverse, solid waste management, water purification, construction of new buildings for courts or projects directed at reinforcement of human rights”, ‘’Armenpress’’ reports, Piotr Switalski said.

EU Ambassador added that their works needs more appreciation; they need to be more visible. ‘’I would like to see more EU flags in Armenia; it is also your flag. This is the flag that the EU shares with the Council of Europe, and Armenia is a member of it. You have a very serious European certificate. Do not be afraid to show that you are European’’, head of the EU Delegationto Armenia concluded.
